Terms of Service

This is adapted from a standard SaaS terms-of-service structure to describe how Chainlake actually works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If you need this for compliance purposes, get it reviewed before relying on it.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Chainlake (chainlake.io and console.chainlake.io), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

2. The service

Chainlake is an on-chain data analytics platform: an AI agent and a set of tools (Data Explorer, Dashboard) for querying and visualizing blockchain data, starting with BSC, plus the ability to connect your own data sources. The service is currently in private beta -- features, limits, and availability can change without the notice period a mature product might commit to.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information when you sign up
  • Keep your credentials secure -- you're responsible for activity under your account
  • Don't share your account or credentials with people outside your organization

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable use section below.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Chainlake to:

  • Attempt to bypass the read-only query restrictions or access data outside your permissions
  • Interfere with the service's operation (e.g. deliberately overloading it)
  • Use it for anything illegal, or to harass or harm others

5. Not financial advice

Chainlake is a data and analytics tool, not a financial advisor.

Nothing in Chainlake -- query results, agent-generated analysis, charts, or metrics -- is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. On-chain data can be incomplete, delayed, or affected by chain reorganizations. Verify anything important before acting on it, and consult a qualified professional for actual financial decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Chainlake is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on data or analysis the service produced. If Chainlake is found liable for anything, total liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the past 12 months (currently nothing, since there is no live billing).

7. Changes

Given this is a private beta run by one person, expect the product -- and occasionally these terms -- to change faster than a mature company's would. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
